DE success at NAK TechLab The two-member team of the University of Debrecen finished first in the student idea category in the national final of the NAK TechLab innovation competition of the National Chamber of Agriculture. They hope that their idea will become a tool that will be used by many in the near future.

New research center at MÉK

December 06, 2019 - 1:15 pm: With the ceremony of the graduates of the Faculty of Medicine, the diplomatic events of the University of Debrecen will commence on the weekend, and almost 1700 graduates of 9 faculties will receive their diploma. Festive events held at the Ceremonial Hall of the University of Debrecen (Egyetem tér 1, Debrecen) will be broadcast live on hirek.unideb.hu by the Multimedia E-learning Technical Center of the institution.

Sokneang Sam, a 3rd year Food  Engineer from the Faculty of Agricultural, Food Sciences and Environmental Management participated  the Youth Ag Summit, which was held between 4th-6th in Brasilia, Brazil. 

On October 15-17, 2019 the Government of Hungary organized with the active participation of Mr. János Áder, President of the Republic, the 3rd Budapest Water Summit to discuss the challenges of the emerging water crises – issues concerning abundant, scarce and polluted waters – and their social, economic, environmental and political consequences. At the largest water policy-technology event, 118 countries, including 10 at ministerial level, with 2,500 participants discussed the issue this year.  

New opportunities in analytics The latest laboratory tools and techniques are available for students of the University of Debrecen with the help of the new collaboration of the Faculty of Agricultural, Food Sciences and Environmental Management and Wessling Hungary Kft.

The Faculty of Economics (GTK) and the Faculty of Agricultural, Food Sciences and Environmental Management (MÉK) nearly five hundred graduate students have continued the tradition of more than four decades, and said goodbye to their years at the University of Debrecen between May 6-10. at the traditional event called ‘Sárgulás’.
